Except one day I had to ride in the front on the way back from the vet because it was 150 degrees outside. And Mom wished that she had something to restrain me with. So thanks!

Later!
VitoVito and Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02302897528492604675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609638011357301370.post-79304799313389501572011-04-08T03:45:45.103-04:002011-04-08T03:45:45.103-04:00What a good idea for a post in your blog. She handled some claims that also had pets involved, so she knew about restraining pets, too! Since we were pups on our 1st ride home, we have always been secured in our car seats. Before Mack came to live with us, he lived with our human brother and we gave Mack a car seat as a gift. We each have our own. We use the Snoozer Dog Seats. Check them out at http://www.snoozerpetproducts.com/. As soon as I get clipped in, I sleep. Mack likes to stay awake and bark at doggies going by.

Thanks for bringing this important issue to everyone's attention!

We're heading over to check out the pet safety kit.

Drools and licks,
Minnie and MackMinnie and Mackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16350546396694640789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609638011357301370.post-18293921437837141522011-04-07T22:53:08.296-04:002011-04-07T22:53:08.296-04:00Hi Wilma

I know first hand this works. A couple of years ago, on the way home from the vet, we were rear ended. I was safe & sound in my buckled up carrier.

Thanks for the great post!

Hugs,
SukiSukihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10278303286318449280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609638011357301370.post-1911768126973809452011-04-07T19:48:45.794-04:002011-04-07T19:48:45.794-04:00You are so wise, Wilma. It makes me nervous and I get all crazy. Momma says if I can't calm down then I will have to stay home while her and Daddy go on fun road trips. How unfair!

TiffyTiffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05532425797981012989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609638011357301370.post-52735211823821397662011-04-07T19:45:10.162-04:002011-04-07T19:45:10.162-04:00We have a car seat that two of us can fit in, plus...We have a car seat that two of us can fit in, plus the kind of strap that goes into the seat belt clippie thingie. When we travel and mom rents a car, we sit in the back seat hooked to the seat belt. When it's a trip around town, Tallulah and Petunia take turns riding in the itty bitty back seat of the truck also hooked to the seat belt. If Isabelle goes with us, she sits in the car seat by herself.

This is the kind that we use that clips right into the seat belt. It works great for us because we have some slack to sit up and lie down but it doesn't let us get tangled in the seat belt.
http://www.amazon.com/Harness-Safety-Seat-system-12-28/dp/B000XKSUD6Southern Fried Pugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02690807430103140696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609638011357301370.post-42122808525700858142011-04-07T19:23:52.772-04:002011-04-07T19:23:52.772-04:00HOla Chicos!!

My t...I sure would like an answer to that question! My two are MONSTERS in the car. We currently use their regular harnesses, and we attach them to the car seatbelts using caribiner clips. Natty never fails to get herself all twisted up in the seatbelt, and they both just whine whine WHINE the entire time, wanting to be up front. I'd love to try something else, but don't want to spend a whole lot of money on those pet car seats when I have a feeling they won't work much better...I have visions of them climbing out of the seat and dangling there, while I try to simultaneously right them AND avoid an accident. *Sigh.
