My East Coast Pug Slut Spring Fling ~ Amazing!

I know,it has been a million years since I last posted, but I am about to make up for it in pictures!
you may have heard through the grapevine that I had a big party at my house, and a whole bunch of my most amazing friends and their peeps all attended. It was beyond my wildest dreams, and according to the way I flop around and bark in my sleep, I have some pretty wild ones.
I will mostly let the pictures do the talking.
Mochi and her Mommy. She was dressed in her school girl dress, and then they put her in this Hello Kitty hat. A much better sport than I would have been!

Macho wasn't sure what to make of the whole scene, but he cooled out after a while!

my girl Zoey from Pug Possessed. She is a real sweetie! Wait til you see what her Dad made for my Mom!

Brigitte wasn't really sure what to make of the whole situation. She was on high alert.

Here is Payton's Mommy Christy!!! She came all the way here on a plane to see me!!!

Here are more people from far away lands! Spongy, Licky and St Patrick's Momma came all the way from Mexico!!!
That big girl sitting on the rock is our foster sister Emma. I will tell you all about her in another post. She is pretty cool. See that guy behind her? That is Sammy. he really didn't like our bear!

Marshy! Nobody puts Marshmallow in the corner, but Marshmallow!

There was even a skin baby here. That is Abby, my main squeeze Murphy's sister. He is very attentive to her. I really love that in a man!

Here is his bro Duke, and his Mommy Samantha.

Lucky was here with the one and only Devil dog Roxy, my idol!!! I was starstruck!

Here we are conspiring to get into some kind of trouble.

Look how sweet Pearl is in her Hello Kitty dress! She and Britte were talking about different bingo halls and other old lady stuff.
Lulu reluctantly getting love from Teddy and Bunnies Mom

Can I just tell you that these women are cray cray?! Molesting poor flat Peta? and look at Marshie trying to look down her dress!

I had to sit down with flat Peta and have a conversation about how to act like a lady. Sheesh!!!

There was romance in the air, as Sluggo was getting quite flirtatious with young Daisy, who also happened to be celebrating her birthday!

I would like to set the record straight about pugs and their appetites. Case in point, Payton, Daisy and Donald's mom, and Scarlet's Mom went nuts and attacked the cake. A pug would never do such a thing. Right Roxy?!

Speaking of romance, there was quite an encounter between Marshmallow and Scarlet later on in the evening, but I think I will save that for another post. It might just be too much to handle with all of these other shenanigans posted here.

Greetings From Blizzard Central

Hi everyone!!! Now that I have had my humans held captive for nearly five days straight, I have been able to get Mom to finally post something for my eagerly awaiting friends.

As anyone who hasn't been stuck in a kennel without access to TV knows, there was a huge blizzard up in my neck of the woods. We are all fine. We were very lucky not to have lost any power, and to have been stocked up on treats before the storm hit. In fact, The Honest Kitchen hooked us up with some awesome treats, and we will be reviewing the tasty morsels before long!

No, that is not me frolicking in the snow up top. That is our pal TJ. He has really turned out to be quite an wonderful house guest.  I will be sorry to see him go., but I heard talk of a meet and greet with an awesome pug loving lady that is supposed to take place later this week. She has a girl dog and she works from home. TJ will really love that, because let me tell you, he does not like it when Mom leaves the room, let alone the house.
Here he is following her right out into the blizzard!!!

Here he is helping her post.

The thing is though, that TJ will soon be moving on. We have done our best to fix him up, and get him ready to set sail to his forever home. He went to see my Vet this past week, and they did some stuff to his boy parts. they took out a bunch of his teeth, and he only has 3 left!! He still manages to get the job done come mealtime!

It won"t be the same around here without him, even Sluggo has grown to really like him.

TJ, Sluggo, Brigitte and me

We will keep you posted on his potential new Mom, and stay tuned to hear about these scrumptious treats we got from The Honest Kitchen. Of course, how can they go wrong? We already know what an amazing job their food does to keep us happy and healthy. TJ was like a new pug within 2 short weeks of eating it!!

One more thing...
There is a certain favorite parent celebrating a birthday tomorrow. He and Mom were hurting for some sweets during the blizzard, so she baked his cake early.

Happy Birthday Dad!!!!!

Happy Birthday My Little Sluggy Bee

Sluggo at about 6 months old
Hi folks, It's Wil's Mom here today. She graciously let me sit in today so that I could post about her brother's birthday. Thanks Wil.

It was five years ago today that Sluggo came into the world. I knew of his birth as his Mom Chole was being fostered by our friend Samantha (Murphy's Mom). What I had no idea of, was that the little guy who wasn't breathing at first, would be changing our lives forever. To read all about his first weeks, click here. Murphy did a post a while back.

Sluggo on the right (I think)

You see, we had no intentions of adding a 3rd pug to the pack. We had had plenty of opportunities, but this time it was different. This lanky little, awkward, long necked giraffe of a pug cast a spell over us. Well, almost all of us. Brigitte was not too keen on the idea of having a little ball of energy around.

Why Mom?

They were soon fast friends though.

So it began, live with Sluggo, life with three pugs.

It wasn't easy at first. All of you people who say going from 2 to 3 is no big deal, you are liars. We were now out numbered!
Walks changed.
Mealtime changed, Wilma was now food aggressive.
Bully sticks and the like changed (see mealtime).
The trim on our newly remodeled kitchen changed.
Our new leather sectional changed. It became a four thousand dollar chew toy.
The lambie budget changed. This kid could destroy a stuffie in 1 minute flat!

For all those things, this little guy had charm. I had always heard that male pugs had a different temperament.
It was true. Wilma, with her aloof coolness and devilish charm was our intro to pugs.
Then came energetic, sweet. lovable Britte.

But this guy was a lover.

He loved Wilma, he loved lambies, but most of all, he loved his Mommy.
And I loved him right back.

Over the past almost 5 years that love has grown. Naturally, I can't imagine life without Sluggo.
He is the quirkiest misfit I've ever met. Allow me to discuss some of his issues.

Surface issues. Won't walk on certain surfaces. Doesn't like it when certain things are on top of other surfaces such as tables, chairs etc.

Doesn't like it if his lambies are too close to things, such as cabinets or furniture. He will cry at them until you retrieve them for him.

Doesn't like to be talked to if you are not fully visible to him. Behind a counter, coming upstairs from the cellar. He'll bark at you until you remedy this.

He is compelled to cancel out the girls pees. Even if he has come in and they do something more, he has to run out and either pee or poop directly on the area.

He has the most bizarre relationships with his lambies. Wilma has discussed some of his obsessions, such as his hierarchy. A few months back, a couple fights broke out around the lambies. We think now, it may have been Sluggo trying to rise up when Wilma was ill. We have reintroduced a few now, and things have been peaceful. Lately, Sluggo has a new compulsion around his lambies. When we settle down at night to TV or whatever, he jumps up with a fave. Right now, his loofah dog, or duckie. He likes to suckle them, and put the whole damn thing in his mouth. Now, at about 9PM every night, he pops up his head, looks around, jumps down and returns with a rope toy.
"Time to chew some rope"

I could go on and on, but I won't. I want to go spend some time with my little Sluggy Bee. We have a few surprises in store for him. We'll tell you about that later.

Oh, and one more thing. I tried to post this the other day, but the Blogpress app is f'd up again. So, you will get the Readers Digest version.

Way back when, Sluggo won one of Punchy's giveaways.
I finally got around to sending his neck measurements, so that he could have his very own bow tie!

He hated it.

He just stood there frozen for the longest time.

I think he started to like it after all the girls were swooning all over him though.

OK, one more Sluggo pic and I'm done.

Happy Birthday buddy!!!! I love you more than Wilma loves treats!

End of the Week Catch Up

Hi friends. Tonight's post is going to contain a conglomeration of stuff collected over the past couple weeks. I am grabbing Mom, while I have her, to help me post.
She's been doing vacation penance by working all week, and everything turned to sh*t while she was gone.
Well, not exactly everything, but, her little Sluggy bee was sick this week. He's feeling better now, after going to see the vet and getting some medicine. But, I think he kinda just fell apart after being together with everybody all day, every day to then everyone leaving and going back to work.

Turns out the little guy got a bad ear and face fold infection.

Dad stayed home and took care of bringing him to the vet, and Mom came home with this...

a Sluggy bee hive!

Brigitte thinks the bees make good pillows.

Speaking of Britte, I know I did wish her a Happy Britteday on the first, but I want to let you all know, that, that old bird actually swam on her Birthday. Yup, she went down to the beach at high tide and went out in the water with Mom, Dad and Auntie. She was kicking around, and plunking her paws in the water. I can't lie. I am pretty proud of her, and happy for her too. I think we should buy a house on the beach somewhere that's warm all year, just so she can swim every day. Dontcha think?!

So, our  Sunflower Sister memorial sunflower did some major league growing over the past couple of weeks.

I noticed something odd though.

I did catch Sluggo " fertilizing" the sunflower over the Summer...

You think?...

Sunflower Sentiment

Hello friends. There has been so much happening with all of our Sunflower Sisters out there. We wanted to give everyone some special attention, but when we heard our girl Lilo was in trouble, we had to get right to work.

It seems Lilo has been struggling over the past couple months with some breathing problems and infections. She really needs us all to send her healing vibes from the power of the paw. And that is what we will do. We love you Lilo and Jess and we hope Lilo is fast on the road to recovery.

We also had a recent loss in our Sunflower family. Most of you know about dear Molly crossing the rainbow bridge. She was grand old dame and will be dearly missed by all. I only wish I could have met her in the fur. She had many of the qualities I hold dear in a royal pug.

We have planted a Sunflower right next to Josie's to honor Molly. We are keeping a close eye on it as the new public enemy number one "Finchy Poo" has taken to eating the seeds. I don't think Molly would appreciate that, so I have been giving Finchy the stink eye whenever I am in the yard.

There it is over my shoulder before Finchy Poo did the damage. This is my I mean business birdy look. What do you think?

We are behind on Birthday wishes too. Such slackers!

Happy Belated Birthday Noodles!

Happy Belated Birthday Petunia!

Happy Belated Birthday Tallulah!

Happy Belated Birthday Sequoia!

We know you had great birthdays and we were thinking of you. Just late in the message. Hope we didn't miss anyone, we will double check tomorrow.

Stay strong sisters,
Love,
Wilma
