Sluggo's in a Heap of Trouble

Hey everybody! I am sure most of you know Sluggo to be a sweet, loving, sensitive, if somewhat neurotic boy.

You may also be familiar with his close personal commitment to his lambies. Not only does he consider them part of his pack, but if you click here, you can be reminded that he runs them like a company. There's a whole hierarchy and everything, and he isn't afraid to fire someone

On most days this is a true representation of his character. But, you might be surprised to find out that Sluggo has a violent side.

That's right, sweet little innocent Sluggo has been getting all gangsta with me and Brigitte over lambs, and who's running this house. He is now facing the consequences of his actions.
You see, there has been a work stoppage here at lambie headquarters.

Yup, that's right, the local 360 refuses to return to the bargaining table until Sluggo can guarantee there will be no more violence in the work place.
Sluggo has been trying to get some scabs to cross the picket line, but that ain't gonna happen around here. In fact, word has gotten all the way to the North Pole of the goings on here at corporate headquarters and Sluggo received a message from the man in re!

Click here to see the personalized video Santa himself sent to Sluggo. (You won't regret it)

Let me tell you something, the boy is shaking in his fur at the thought of what may happen if he doesn't straighten up. He's only got 24 days to prove he has learned from his mistakes. Can he do it? Only time will tell.

Signs of Spring

Hi folks!
There are a few things happening around here that indicate Spring may actually be on the way.
Our pussy willow tree is starting to bloom.

The snow is finally melting. Just that little patch over Brigitte's shoulder is what's left in the back yard.
Do you know what it means when I can pee on the ground instead of the snow?

I'll show you...

I can kick!!!!
I can turn around in millions of circles and kick 'til my hearts content, after I finish my business.
And trust me, I have been making up for lost time.
If I am lucky, I will cover Brigitte and Sluggo in dirt, mud and pee.
That isn't very difficult, considering that they follow me all around the yard.
Glorious Spring.

Something else in the out here has changed as well...

No more doots yard.
Mom and Dad raked everything up this past weekend.

This has put a serious cramp in Brigitte's Easter egg hunts, and she is none to pleased about it.

Hope you all have a Happy St Patty's Day! Another sure sign Spring is on the way, Mom and Dad pulled out my old Wilma O'Puggy picture.

Happy Groundpug Da..er Birthday Slugg...uh Sluggy Bee!!!!!

Well, Sluggo the groundpug is afraid of more than just his shadow. So, when he went running scared this morning as soon as he saw us wearing these silly hats, we decided to go with the real deal.

Photo courtesy Getty Images Jeff Swanson

In case you haven't heard, Punxutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow this morning. Only the 16th time since 1887 that he didn't.
He knew better. There would have been a whole case of whoop a** cut loose on him if so much as considered  not issuing an early Spring forecast.

But, on to bigger and better things. It is our Sluggy Bee's Birthday today!

He turns four today, and we are going to have a party to celebrate with the family as soon as we can chop our way out of this ice house.

He did get a new Piggo today. Let's see how long before he kill him.

Happy Birthday Buddy, I really am glad I chose you.

Wilma's Wednesday Words of Wisdom

" It's good to be queen"

Hello people. I am going to use this weeks wisdom as kind of a Christmas wrap up/you won't believe what I got kind of thing.

First, I really enjoyed seeing many of your holiday decorations. I haven't really shared because Mom was lame, and took forever to figure out what she was going to do about a tree. Longish boring story, but suffice it to say, when she finally relented, and got a fake tree for 70% off at Jo-Ann Fabrics, it was two days before Christmas. A little late to start posting pictures, when she hadn't even finished shopping, cooking etc.
So, here is my contribution to the decking of the pug halls 2010~

Our mantel. Safety boy, er, Dad, doesn't allow stockings over the fireplace. Have any of you ever heard of a fire started by innocent stockings waiting to be filled? Me either.
Ultimately the only stockings that Santa fills are the ones we have at Grammy and Grampy's, so no biggie.

A closer look at the reindeer over the fireplace. There is no way we are mounting stuffed dead things on the wall. I don't think Santa would approve, plus it's gross and mean. No offence Sara, or wait, I don't care if I offend her. So this is our environmentally friendly, no deers were harmed in the making of this item, green reindeer, made from recycled cardboard with a red nose added for the holiday.

Artsy fartsy view of mantel.

Me, doing my flying reindeer impression.
I was thinking of asking Noodles if she could hook me up with a job next year.

View from the kitchen window.

Some of my favorite ornaments.

And, here it is... all four feet of the fake pre- lit tree from JoAnn Fabrics, on clearance, on a table, thanks to having Sluggo, a BOY dog, in the house, destroying my dream, of a fun trip to the tree farm to choose my very own tree, and fill the house with the smells of the season. Thanks, jerk.

Here he is looking for Santa

OK, no more mind numbing decorations. Let's get down to it. My wisdom. It's more like just sharing the best gift ever, than real wisdom. But it does stem from being the queen.
As far as gifts go, we made out.

There were toys, and treats, bones and trinkets. Here I am with a big Christmas moose at Grammy's.
 But nothing compares to this...

are you ready?

I have my very own domain!!!

I know, I know
wah, wah...
What the heck is a domain?
That's what I said when I first found out.
So I looked on line and found this on the thefreedictionary.com/

1. A territory over which rule or control is exercised.

Ha! There you have it, in black and white...
I am master of my domain!!!
(That's a Seinfeld reference for those of you old enough to appreciate the greatness of that show)

Anyway, the deal is, that Dad went to GoDaddy.com and purchased wilmasworld.com for me.
I am not really sure exactly what happens other than you being directed to this blog from there, but, I still think it's pretty freakin' cool!

Spooky Sunflower Party 2010 ~ Group Photo

Hello friends!
Thanks to everyone for helping to make The Sunflower Spooktacular so much fun. Here we have a group shot containing as many party goers as we could get together at one time. I think some of you may have been lost in the corn maze.
I know I wanted to have a costume contest, but quite honestly, everybody looked so great it would be hard to choose a winner. Plus attendance was so great that my party committee got things a little confused.
I will doing a special giveaway soon to make up for it.

I hope you are all having a scary (in a good way) weekend.
Have a Happy Halloween.and no candy. I don't want to read any posts about some friend making their human go to the emergency vet with a belly full of chocolate. Got that?!

Anyone doing anything tonight for mischief night?
And speaking of that, what do you all call the night before Halloween in your parts,if anything?
For Mom it was Mischief  night. Dad says Doorbell night. We have also heard it called Hell night.
Me, I will just be being my usual devilish self.
Feel free to leave a number though, The parents say they won't bail me out if I get busted.
Lame!

To Winston, From Sluggo

This is a special shout out to my man Winston, from your boy Sluggo.

First of all,Wilma says thanks for the word up on the Halloween party. We are all gettin' real excited about it.
Secondly, dude, this business about lookin' like a pig.
As far as I see, the answer is no. No, you do not look like a pig. But that is just my opinion. Apparently. these humans have some kind of association between pigs and pugs.
Check this...

Halloween '08
3 little pigs

Does this look like an excited pug?
nooooooo
I finally got on board, but I was not pumped

So, this is for all you delusional humans out there who think pugs are like pigs...

True pigs

That was from Mom and Dad's trip The Big E ( Eastern States Exposition) last week.

You think they were trying to gain intel to perfect the pig suit?

I'm doomed.

Send help, Winston

Again...

pig...

pug...

Get it straight!

You've Got an Open Invitation

It's official! The Sunflower Girls are hosting a Halloween Party. Everybody is invited!
Come one, come all.
Boys, girls, dogs, cats. We are going to have a blast.

All you need to do if you are coming, is to e-mail a picture of yourself to Mom in your Halloween costume. (I know some of you are not into dressing up. I happen to live with someone who feels that way). So, it's OK you may still attend the party. Just send any picture.

I'd like to have a costume contest, but I don't know what the rules or the prize will be.
Suggestions welcome ladies!!!
I do have something for one of you who may not have a costume yet.
Mom brought this home the other day.

That's right Izzy, It's Jack Sparrows!

Two problems...

Number one

Sluggo hates it.

Number two
It's too small.

Mom kinda knew it would be, but it was cheap, and she had to try.

So, if there are any of those tiny pugs or small dogs weighing between 8-12 lbs, let us know, and Mom will send it to you .

One last thing.
I reminded Mom that we haven't had a Sunflower Spotlight in like 2 months. Remember those? We would nominate, and then vote for someone for us to highlight on our blogs.
So, I will be considering some nominees, and I  ask you to also give it some thought. What do you think about taking it outside the club? We can recognise greatness anywhere. Let's honor a fellow blogger. It could be for doing something special, it could be to give someone a lift, could be just because.

Friday Wrap Up ~ flash back, Sunflower Club Business and a technical question

Here I am as The Flower Pug in Mom and Dad's wedding. Photo courtesy of my Grammy, (thanks Grammy!!!)  cuz Mom needs to either scan some of her pictures or get them off an old broken modem. I couldn't have my people waiting any longer to see my hotness. So here you have it. I was about a year old here. I don't want to brag, but I virtually stole the spotlight from the bride. I know it's small, and when you biggify it to see me in all my .fancy lace it will get fuzzy, but, it is the best I can do for now.

Now for some Sunflower business~

The votes are in, and by unanimous opinion, our Special Sunflower girls second edition, will feature Sequoia and Petunia from over at The Girls.

Our lovely Pearl nominated them.
They are moving cross country this week, so they will have something great for when they are settling in. All votes were in favor , so The Girls it shall be!

I am going to allow for some flexibility again in this project. We won't nail it down to one specific day. I only ask that you post your tribute to Sequoia and Tuni on your blog one day next week.
I am very excited about this, and can't wait to see what you all come up with for your posts.

Lastly, Mom was wondering if anyone has upgraded to Google Chrome and do they regret it?
She did, and it seems like ever since, she is having a hard time with a few things.
She has lost a couple of comments, both to your blogs and her own. Also, sometimes she can't get to your blogs by clicking on a link.
No need for anything to technical for a response. (she wouldn't understand it anyway)
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

Happy 4th of July everyone!
May none of you have to be freaked out by fireworks, and we hope someone tosses you a cheeseburger at the family picnic.

Fathers Day Edition

It's Fathers Day, and we all (me, Brigitte, Sluggo and Mommy too) would like to take a moment to wish our Dad, Hubby, and Grampy too, a very happy day. I, for one love my daddy, very much. Far as  I know, Britte and Sluggo feel the same way. I was tryin' to think of how  we could make the day special for Dad. I can't go shopping (bad credit). Can't make a nice card (no opposable thumbs). Dad doesn't need any ties. He doesn't golf or drink, so those things are out too. So, I was thinkin'. There are a few things we could NOT do, that Dad would probably be pretty psyched about. For example, we could promise to NOT bark and go crazy the next time someone comes to the door. But, not really, cuz we are pretty much out of control when ever there is any out of the ordinary activity. But, you get the idea, right? So me, Brigitte and Sluugo have some promises.
 I'll go first...

OK Dad, let's see, what could I possibly do or say to make me any more awesome to you than I already am? Hmmmmm.. this is going to take some thought. Well, I guess I could promise not to lick your pillow today. OK, don't forget to remind me that I said that. Oh, and I guess while I'm at it, I could also like to thank you for tending to my very special giant sunflower.
Love you,
Wils

Oh, what's that? OK.
Brigitte wants to say something...

Hi Dad, and Grampy too. Happy Fathers Day.
OK Dad, I would like to thank you for growing  lettuce and beans for the bunnies.

Then, after that, I suppose I could promise to be calm and quiet for our next car ride, but that would be a very hard promise to keep. So Dad, my promise to you is that I will give you three kisses some time this year. For those of you who don't know, that is really good for me, as I am extremely stingy with the kisses.

OK, me next...
Hi Dad, this is Sluggo. I hope you have a great day.

Now, listen closely, my promise to you,

Is that I won;t pee on any of the delicious vegetables you grow for us.

Grillma would like to direct you all over to my Auntie Diva's Blog Beacheats.
There, you can enjoy a special guest blog from none other than my Grampy Diva all about grills.

Happy Fathers Day to all you great Dad's out there!!!
