Mom came across this campaign on the Bark Magazine website.
They have an entire site dedicated to safe pet travel. I know how much I enjoy going bye bye in the car, and I know most of you love it too.
Unfortunately, some people still drive around with their pets unrestrained. Some in the backs of their trucks even.

The kit comes with a safety sticker for your car, and profile cards to put in the glove box and a bunch of other stuff.
They even take info for an emergency contact for us. Someone who could pick us up if there was ever an accident. For Mom and Dad, that person is different from their emergency contact.
For a few dollars, Mom was able to order cards for all three of us, and an extra sticker for Dad's truck.
It is getting to be vacation season.

There is also a blog post from a pet radio show host who was recently in an accident. Her dogs were in the car, safely restrained, and were unharmed.
Now I have been being buckled in, with plush lambswool lined seats since I was a wee pug. I happily lay back and enjoy the ride. I just like to bark every time the signal light goes on. But I think Brigitte was a free range pug in her former family. She never gives up trying to scratch, claw and plead her way into the drivers seat.
She has to be in the center.
In Dad's truck our bench sits snugly up against the back of the front seats, so Brigitte can just rest her mug on the center console contently.
But in Mom's new car there is a gap, and Brigitte has managed to fit herself right in between on the hump. While she is still connected to the seatbelt by her strap, Mom thinks there is a better solution. Any of you multiple dog homes have any suggestions?
