Hi everybody! I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend. We are, now that Mom is home and Sluggo is happy.
A little something I figured I would share with you tonight. Some of you may have heard from a fellow named Jed Crowley. I don't know him personally, but he did email me about a film project he is involved in. He is a film student from Columbia University, and is spreading the word about a movie starring a very smart, and quite handsome if I do say so, young rescue dog named Paul Newman.
Now, I like to think of myself as a pretty savvy pug. I am not easily bamboozled. To me, this guy seemed legit. He is launching a post production fundraiser to raise money to finish his short film project.
The movie is a romantic comedy called Dear Dog, I Love You.
If you follow that link, you can watch a trailer.
What I like about Jed, and Paul Newman and his trainer Karen Wells, is that through this project, they are raising awareness, and money for rescue.
See, Paul Newman has one of those amazing stories of being left behind by some bad people. But he was found by good people and saved.
What they found out was that Paul Newman is an incredibly talented and special dog.
You can read all about him here.
Don't want to give too many details here, so Dad doesn't get sad.
What is also great, is that all the jobs that Paul Newman gets, he donates a portion of his pay back to the rescue that saved him!
So, I am not asking for you to pledge any money, unless you feel you would like to. But, I figured, us pugs have quite an Internet presence when you think about it. We have a far reaching readership, so maybe, if we could spread the word about Dear Dog I Love You, enough folks may take interest that we could help Jed and Paul Newman reach their goal. I am going to have Britte tweet it in fact!
I wouldn't mind checking out his film sometime, I think they deserve a chance.
