"It's not the material things in life that count, it's how many times you can go to the vet the week of Christmas"
I joke, I joke. While it does just so happen that I will have seen all three of my doctors by weeks end, I will be spreading joy and cheer the whole time. That's good, right?
OK, back to the part about what is truly important, not just at this time of year, but all the days of the year.
* cue sappy emotional music*
What is important to me, are those nice warm laps that are available to me, at will. I also am lucky to have two walking treat dispensers ambling about the house any given evening. I guess I appreciate having those other two fur-balls to hang with. Especially at this time of year.
On a serious note, (cue Dad to stop reading at the end of this paragraph) I have a great family who love me very much, just like you do. For that I am forever grateful. I am not the first to point this out by any means, but it bears repeating, as we get all caught up in the hustle and bustle. Having people who love you, who you love back, there for you, is the greatest gift any of us has. Even if we can't enjoy a snuggle on your humans laps or share treats with you guys in person, we feel very fortunate to consider all of you our friends too.
Hey Sluggo! Quit hogging the camera, and get back here with me and Wil! |
Pugliacci the sad clown |
OK, I think I put enough pictures to protect Dad from the sad stuff...
As evidenced this week after the tragic events in Houston, blogville is a pretty awesome place to visit. It's even a better place to live.
Even though we only really knew the Pittie Pack from Pips blog, and some other blog parties and stuff, we were so deeply saddened to learn of what happened to them and their wonderful family.
What has been so amazing, is to see how other people, many struggling at this time of year, many who also did not know them, come together and provide the most incredible support system.
Therein lies the true spirit of the season. I am very inspired by them all.
I have spared the details of the event that occurred, but provided a link to Maisie's Blog with the initial announcement, in case you hadn't heard.
I also encourage you to stop by the Kissa-Bulls blog and offer a word or two.
Well said lovely lady, well said! To all families, enjoy this wonderful time of year and pray for those not as fortunate as this great Blogville family!

ReplyDeleteDear Wilma;
ReplyDeleteRight back atcha. We are very grateful for the love you've brought to our family over the years. And for your bro and sister too. You have added much joy to our family gatherings and we can see that you love us back as well. So we have a lot to be thankful for this Christmas as we celebrate with our loving family all around. There will be plenty of laps, couches, treats (but don't tell your parents!) and whatever else your pug hearts desire.
