Exploring New Horizons

I love the days that neither Mom or Dad leaves the house in the morning.
It can only mean a few things.
There will be ample lap space to relax upon.
We will go somewhere fun, that often involves treats and sniffing new butts.
Or we will go to Grammy and Grampys, more treats.

Saturday was option 2. We all piled into the car. I have trained Brigitte to be the lookout, so all I have to do is just stretch out on the car seat and relax.

When I was notified of our arrival, it turns out we were at a big park we had never visited before.
We were there to do a recognisance mission for a future play date with Murphy and Duke.

It is called the Southbury Dog Park, and we really loved it there.
It is really big, so we could all run around wild and free.

There was also lots of fun dogs and their nice people.

We met a little puggle puppy

 This is Oliver
and these guys were running in and out of the river catching balls and leaping about.
It looked like they were having fun, but I just can't get past getting my feet wet.

You'll need to carry me over that stream, thank you.

Brigitte doesn't mind, she just plows right through
These guys didn't care either.
(don't they kinda look like hippos?)

Then we met a pug named Curly and formed the pug train.
Naturally, I am the engine and  Brigitte is the caboose
This is what I did when Mom and Dad said it was time to go home.
Planted my feet. I did not want to leave.
They promised we would come back real soon.
If  they don't follow through with that promise,
I am going to have Sluggo do this...

  1. Hello,

I just wanted to stop by and thank you so much for your kind words regarding our little Miss Skippy Wu. I haven't been on blogger for two months, I am back now and I wanted you to know your words meant a lot. Thank you. Have a wonderful day. Joan

P.S. I LOVE all your pictures - the PUG TRAIN is my favorite!! So cute! It really looks like a pug train, too.

Sluggo's revenge is hilarious! And the Pug Train?! Awesome!

Our dog park doesn't have as much green grass, your dog park looks so much more fun.

  5. Is he peeing on your head? OMD!

That park looks awesome. Our parks are so small, and our water is either the ocean or dirty rivers. That creek looks very cool.
