End of the Week Catch Up

Hi friends. Tonight's post is going to contain a conglomeration of stuff collected over the past couple weeks. I am grabbing Mom, while I have her, to help me post.
She's been doing vacation penance by working all week, and everything turned to sh*t while she was gone.
Well, not exactly everything, but, her little Sluggy bee was sick this week. He's feeling better now, after going to see the vet and getting some medicine. But, I think he kinda just fell apart after being together with everybody all day, every day to then everyone leaving and going back to work.

Turns out the little guy got a bad ear and face fold infection.

Dad stayed home and took care of bringing him to the vet, and Mom came home with this...

a Sluggy bee hive!

Brigitte thinks the bees make good pillows.

Speaking of Britte, I know I did wish her a Happy Britteday on the first, but I want to let you all know, that, that old bird actually swam on her Birthday. Yup, she went down to the beach at high tide and went out in the water with Mom, Dad and Auntie. She was kicking around, and plunking her paws in the water. I can't lie. I am pretty proud of her, and happy for her too. I think we should buy a house on the beach somewhere that's warm all year, just so she can swim every day. Dontcha think?!

So, our  Sunflower Sister memorial sunflower did some major league growing over the past couple of weeks.

I noticed something odd though.

I did catch Sluggo " fertilizing" the sunflower over the Summer...

You think?...

  1. Oh, poor Sluggy Bee! Glad he is feeling better. Sometimes the worst part of vacation is coming home and trying to get back into the routine. How awesome for Brigitte! I definitely think you guys should move to a house on the beach...that would be fun! That sunflower is so tall and beautiful! Have a great weekend Wilma!

  2. Glad to hear Sluggo is feeling better. Cute picture of the kids

  3. Poor Sluggo :( We are glad he is feeling better though!

Moving someplace that is warm all year long sounds good to us too!

  4. We love Sluggo bee!!!!!!!!!!!! Feel better Sluggo.

  5. Hi Sluggy Bee,
I hope you are feeling so much better.
I do think that if you put your ear nest to the bee hive,, all that humming will make you feels better.
And Brig... I think you are so brave to go swim!
    Gosh how brave you are.

  6. hope sluggo feels better! that bee toy should do it -- that is one of the pugs' fave toys, or at least it was, until deedee decimated it. we still find bee parts all over the house.

  7. Glad to know that Sluggo is getting better. Next time maybe he can go for a swim, too:)
