Hi peoples! I can't believe it's Wednesday already.
For this weeks wisdom I was planning on continuing to address your questions.
As I perused some of your submissions for a question I could lend my wisdom to, I came across my friend Toby Moses' from over at The Slimmer Pugs query.
How do you keep the mamas home? They've been off doing lots of things...which Isa just don't likes.
-Toby Moses
This one intrigued me.
You see as recently as last week, I though I had been doing a pretty good job at this.
I even commented to him that I believed I could help.
Then, this week, everything changed.
And we are none too happy about it!
Everyday this week so far, Mom has woken us up out of a sweet comfortable sleep, dragged us out into the cool wet grass bleary eyed, to do business, fed us, and then taken off all day long!
This is very jarring, and disruptive to our usual routine.
Normally, we get to sleep til we wake up, stretch, wipe the sleep out of our eyes and enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast.
Not only is she taking off on us, leaving us to fend for ourselves, virtually helpless, but, she also has not been giving me my required blog labor.
I have been keeping up with all of you, but I haven't been able to comment as much as I like.
In addition, not enough posts! I mean, I've got material people, don't you worry about that. She just hasn't had enough time.
Something about vet bills, acupuncture, supplements, toys, kibble, treats, and sock monkey beds
Well, that's just bull.
I'm not feeling it. Figure out something else!
So, my friends, therein lies my problem.
I thought I had the answer to this one.
I thought I had it licked.
I thought everything was all set.
I am not so sure anymore.
I need your help this week.
What do you all do to keep your people around catering to you as much as possible?
This needing to work more hours nonsense is just not working for me!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Not only by me, Brigitte and Sluggo, but also by Toby Moses.
Oh Wilma, this is upsetting. The conditions we are forced to endure when our parents get 'busy'!
ReplyDeleteMy initial suggestion was to fake an illness. But then the mommas would inevitably take us to the vet, this would cause more bills, etc... so that was a bad idea.
Oh. I've got it.
HIDE THE CAR KEYS! AND THE CELL PHONE! yesss! I have observed that humans cannot function without those 2 things!
Let me know if you try it.
xoxo

Alas poor Wilma....your Mom didn't listen to the wisdom of the old folk who say" it's just as easy to love a rich man as it is a poor one". Had she followed this rule, you'd have her there all day doing your bidding!
ReplyDeleteLove,

Pearl,
ReplyDeletebrilliant!!!! You are so right. I have seen this as well. Running all about, freaking about the keys or phone. But not leaving!!! I will let you know how it goes.
Hi Wilma
ReplyDeleteWow , what a tough question.
Maybe doggies including Toby Moses would be more content if they could have some entertainment during the day- like having their own tv with animal planet. I know it does not take the place of moms,,, but I am trying to think of doable things,,,,,,
or hummmmmm still thinking,
this question has stumped my mind.

Let me tell you that breaking your tooth is not the answer. Ugh. I have observed that using the restroom all over the house will really do the trick. They start saying, OH LORD, we can't be gone that long! If you leave a big pile right by the door it can either backfire when they step in it, or they will feel really guilty and say that you even tried to get outside.
ReplyDeleteKitty and Coco
